PROUD: Call for Papers for Co-Design projects
During the PROUD Proms "When co-design works" – 20 October Dutch Design Week 2014 - PROUD wants to offer the floor to people to proudly present their great co-design projects and processes showing tools, activities, collaborators, or other "Ingredients" that really made the co-design work. Let people know how co-design indeed brings more active participation and involvement, what designers need to facilitate co-design processes, how different methods work and can be improved or customised, how we can increase design thinking by all, for what themes co-design matters. Submission deadline is 15 September 2014.
PROUD sees co-design as a great approach to enable a wide range of people to have a creative contribution in the formulation and solution of societal and economical challenges. Co-design builds and deepens an equal collaboration between all kind of people affected by or attempting to resolve a particular challenge. Harnessing the knowledge, experience and creative potential of all co-design participants’ results in relevant, innovative, practical solutions that could never come from one single stakeholder.
PROUD is looking for contributions from practitioners of co-design either professional designers, public workers, academics, business representatives that demonstrate when co-design exceeded expectations in e.g. one or more of the following aspects:
- The commissioning of project
- The set-up of the project
- The context of the project
- The partners in the project
- Timing of the project
- Tools in the process
- Participants in the process
- The impact
