12 March 2008: The keys to submit a successful proposal in the 7th Framework Programme (Luxembourg, LU)

A 7 year programme with over EUR 50 billion to spend reflecting all aspects of EU research policy is - quite naturally - of a certain complexity. The money of the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) will, for the most part, be spent on grants to research actors all over Europe and beyond, in order to co-finance research, technological development and demonstration projects. Grants are determined on the basis of calls for proposals and a peer review process, which are highly competitive.

Newcomers but also experienced stakeholders might get lost in the panoply of themes, activities, funding schemes, etc. Fortunately, National Contact Points ("NCPs") have been set up to give personalised help and advice to researchers and organizations intending to participate.

In Luxembourg, Luxinnovation is the NCP for the 7th Framework Programme. As such, our job is to point you to the part of FP7 that may be of interest to you and to help you with your application.

The aim of this seminar is to train participants on how to make a proposal in FP7. The course gives a brief overview of FP7, analyses the common issues in administration and proposal preparation as well as the evaluation criteria for proposals, including best practices and "do's & don'ts".
|
A further section elaborates on how to deal with consortium agreements. Last but not least, the training provides useful insights on FP7 financial regulations.
