Cardiovascular Biomarkers (27 November 2008)

The discovery and integration of molecular markers of cardiovascular diseases offer opportunities for the development of personalised strategies for prevention, diagnosis and treatment. This workshop aims to promote collaborative research in the identification, integration and evaluation of novel molecular biomarkers for cardiovascular disease based on different "omic" approaches. Participants will develop a better understanding of available experimental and computational technologies for supporting translational research in key areas such as human heart failure and atherosclerosis. This will be achieved through in-depth discussions of emerging biomarkers, methods and applications.
