The Luxembourg Automobility Cluster managed by Luxinnovation, fosters innovation, business development and cross-sector cooperation by bringing together Luxembourg-based companies & startups active in the automotive industry & mobility sector. One of the Luxembourg Auto Mobility Cluster’s major works in progress right now is the development of the Luxembourg-France-Germany digital cross border test bed supporting the testing & development of connected & automated mobility. 

Designing solutions together with the customer, in their own language whilst understanding their cultural background, is part of the DNA of the Cluster’s workforce.

Luxembourg offers excellent access to all major European development centres for automotive components businesses and new mobility solutions. The country offers the advantages of a multi-lingual, multi-cultural, well-educated business community along with excellent business-oriented public services or the possibility of Private Public Partnerships (PPPs). A unique selling point for businesses is Luxembourg’s strong ICT eco-system with proven competences in cybersecurity, availability of high-speed connectivity (ultra-low latency), and yet to come next generation cellular connectivity – 5G and high performance computing – HPC.

Strategic cross-border partnerships enhance digital transformation

Speakers at the 19th AALE conference, held in Luxembourg for the first-time, highlighted the role of automation technologies in accelerating digital transformation and the uptake of Industry 4.0. Close to €1bn in state aid to businesses in five years

In about five years, the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy has granted businesses €906m in various state aid measures, focused notably on R&D, innovation and environmental protection. The support provided resulted in investments totalling €1.5bn in Luxembourg. A majority of the co-funded companies were informed by Luxinnovation in their application process.
