Managed by Luxinnovation, the Luxembourg Creative Industries Cluster brings together various interconnected players in order to increase their visibility and enhance their innovation potential. All this while the sector is constantly growing while at the same time undergoing numerous technological changes.

Cluster members represent 12 industries that are very active in Luxembourg: architecture (engineering/town planning); crafts and manufacturing; visual arts; films and audiovisual; design; fashion design; gaming; marketing and communication; literature; digital media and publishing; performing arts and music.

The cluster has two main priorities:

  • Develop an online platform targeting both the creatives and their clients
  • Promote the international visibility of the creative industries by supporting creatives in their activities

  • Raise awareness and inform the markets
  • Encourage collaboration between members
  • Increase the visibility and market access of members
  • Enhance entrepreneurial skills
  • Act as an expert intermediary between the government, institutions and professional chambers and the creatives

Strategic cross-border partnerships enhance digital transformation

Speakers at the 19th AALE conference, held in Luxembourg for the first-time, highlighted the role of automation technologies in accelerating digital transformation and the uptake of Industry 4.0. Luxinnovation CEO, Sasha Ballie, underlined the “great pool of manufacturing expertise” available in neighbouring countries, particularly in polytechnics and research entities, and the high potential of partner networks between industry players and technical institutions.

Close to €1bn in state aid to businesses in five years

09-02-2023

In about five years, the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy has granted businesses €906m in various state aid measures, focused notably on R&D, innovation and environmental protection. The support provided resulted in investments totalling €1.5bn in Luxembourg. A majority of the co-funded companies were informed by Luxinnovation in their application process.

  • Circular by Design Challenge #3 Circular by Design Challenge #3
    The Circular by Design Challenge offers Luxembourg and European companies and entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop their innovative, sustainable solutions through a 12-week coaching programme.

    Participants will be connected with an excellent network of partners looking to find sustainable solutions to thematic challenges.

    The winner of each thematic challenge will also receive an award of €8,000.
