ActInSpace® is an international innovation contest inspiring young women and men worldwide to meet challenges based on space technologies, data, patents and infrastructures to launch start-ups into all areas of our daily lives. Designed for students but open to everyone, the objective is to foster entrepreneurship, encourage start-up creation and promote the use of space technologies and space acquired data to change citizen’s lives, to boost employment and to protect our planet.
This year, like in 2016, Luxembourg will take place at the agency of InTech, an IT service company in Kayl.
The first edition in 2016 was a real success. One team created their own startup : « Starwear » and they received the public price in Toulouse during the « Toulouse Space Show ».
The event was created by the CNES & the ESA.
The main goals are :
- To develop entrepreneurship for young people;
- To promote space ;
- To promote the creation of start-ups by using and adapting space technologies to our daily life ;
- To create an event focused on space and innovation in Luxembourg ;
During this hackahton several teams of 5 participants will have to work on the challenges offered by the CNES, the ESA and our sponsors in 24h.
For a matter of space in the building, we can receive a maximum of 12 teams of 5 people.
