EUREKA is a publicly-funded, intergovernmental network, involving over 45 countries. Its objective is to optimise European competitiveness by fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship in Europe, between small and large industry, research institutes and universities. With this strong market orientation, EUREKA complements the EU’s programmes of strategic research by encouraging collaboration between organisations across Europe.

As a founding member of the EUREKA network, Luxembourg – through the Ministry of the economy – supports all EUREKA programmes, including the EUREKA Clusters.  In alignment with Luxembourg’s strategy for a competitive sustainable economy and Luxinnovation 2022-2025 Strategy to foster collaborative projects that stimulate the development of a sustainable, competitive, and digital economy, the  EUREKA Cluster Sustainability represents an opportunity for Luxembourg-based companies to join transnational collaborative consortia in 2 priority domains: Green ICT and Space-earth-ocean integrated Systems for better observation and data exploitation (check out all targeted technology domains). Winning consortia can get financial support of the Ministry of the Economy via its R&D aid schemes.
