The digital economy is growing at an unprecedented speed. For Luxembourg to maximize its opportunities, the education and training system must make available the required skills to the labour market at all levels.

To tackle the lack of digital skills in Europe, the European Commission launched the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition to encourage Member States to solve this problem by rallying public and private actors in digital skills and jobs coalitions on a national level.

Within this framework, all actors work together to increase the number of ICT literates as well as the establishment of direct links between education, training and business, or the standardization of qualification requirements.

Luxembourg is proud to launch its Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition Lëtzebuerg. As an open network of actors, all public and private stakeholders active in the promotion of digital skills in Luxembourg are encouraged to join the National Coalition to address the digital skills gap. In line with the Digital Lëtzebuerg initiative, the National Coalition focuses on all aspects of digitalisation of our economy and society.

By connecting different stakeholders from the public and private sectors, the Coalition strives to develop concrete measures through active involvement in order to bring digital skills and competences to all levels of the economy and society. Moreover, the National Coalition pledges further coordinated action to identify and share best practices.

The Luxembourg Institute for Digital Training (LIDIT), coordinator of the National Coalition, together with all the partners of the Digital Skills Coalition Lëtzebuerg, is pleased to invite you to the official launch on 29th May.

The launch event starts at 2 pm with a set of workshops and information stands addressing different dimensions of digitalisation. It will be followed by an official evening programme in presence of Prime minister Xavier Bettel.
