New funding opportunities under Horizon 2020 for Next-Generation Batteries

The European Commission published a separate cross-thematic work programme with new Horizon 2020 funding opportunities under the title “Building a Low-Carbon, Climate Resilient Future: Next-Generation Batteries”.
The work programme addresses the challenge of transitioning towards a de-carbonised society, building on the COP21, the EU 2020 targets, and the 2050 Energy Roadmap. The focus is on electric batteries for vehicles, with a budget of €114 Million for 2019 and €70 Million for 2020.
