Thanks to the eleven Luxembourgish exhibitors having participated in the Euromaritime business exhibition, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg takes third place behind France and Finland and ahead of the Netherlands. This enthusiastic participation of Luxembourg bears testimony to the growth and dynamism of its maritime sector. Its maritime cluster is gathering 60 member companies since the beginning of the year. The 220 ocean-going ships that proudly fly the Red Lion flag are just one of many facets of the blue economy of a country that is resolutely turning to the oceans. The same is true for the financial sector in the Grand Duchy, which, even though it is often promoted abroad, is part of a wider set of specialized service providers as Law firms, marine insurance companies, classification societies, ship brokers and strategy advisors. Another remarkable fact is that Luxembourg is home to a maritime surveillance sector and numerous equipment manufacturers supplying innovative materials and components to shipyards.

On the occasion of its second participation, Luxembourg has also introduced itself with its new nation branding “Luxembourg, let’s make it happen” which is the fruit of a reflection led by the Government but also involving civil society. The Luxembourg Maritime Administration, the Department of Inland Waterways of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, the Chamber of Commerce and the Luxemburg Maritime Cluster which promoted the Luxembourgish presence at Euromaritime have welcomed hundreds of visitors at the stand.
