Franz Fayot, in his capacity as Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, and Carlo Thelen, Director General of the Chamber of Commerce, will jointly launch the 6th edition of the Luxembourg Cooperation’s Business Partnership Facility (BPF) initiative on Monday 1 March at 4pm.

The objective of the BPF is to encourage the Luxembourg and European private sector to join forces with public or private partners active in developing countries in order to set up sustainable business projects.

In order to achieve this, the BPF will set up an annual working capital fund endowed by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs with a budget of €1 million.

Partnership with Luxinnovation

The webinar on Monday will officially launch the 6th call for projects of the financing facility, which covers a wide range of sectors:

  • Fight against the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Biohealth
  • Eco-innovation and the circular economy
  • FinTech
  • Logistics
  • Information and communication technologies
  • Space
  • Mobility
  • A partnership between Luxinnovation and Lux-Development, the Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation (LuxDev), will also be announced, with a view to supporting Luxembourg companies more effectively in the preparation of their project proposals.
