Organised within the context of the PAE – Pôle Automobile Européen project, the Tomorrow in Motion Forum is the key cross-border event for the automotive sector. It highlights business opportunities offered by the Greater Region: a land of opportunity, innovation and inspiration.

Over two days (14 and 15 June 2022), industry representatives, economic development players and local and regional decision makers will meet in Metz to share their expertise and points of view. They will focus on the themes of the energy and digital transitions, which have now become key issues in the automotive industry and for the mobility of tomorrow.

The event – which is free of charge – will feature a number of interactive round tables led by specialists, pre-organised B2B meetings supported by EEN (Enterprise Europe Network) and Grand E-Nov+, an exhibition area presenting mobility solutions and a vehicle test area. Company visits and networking areas are also on the programme.

“Excellent cross-border collaboration”

Jean Schiltz, Head of Smart Mobility at the Ministry of the Economy, will participate in the opening panel alongside representatives of the main public institutions of the Greater Region. Joost Ortjens, Head of International Business Development – Automotive at Luxinnovation, will take part in a round table discussion on the theme “The Greater Region, land of the automotive industry”.

“This forum is the result of an excellent cross-border collaboration that has been in place for several years in the automotive and mobility sector in the broadest sense”, explains Anthony Auert, Luxembourg AutoMobility Cluster Manager at Luxinnovation. “There is no doubt that the participants will reap many benefits, both in terms of enriching their knowledge and developing their network in the Greater Region.”

The Pôle Automobile Européen (PAE) project brings together 10 French, Belgian, Luxembourg and German partners under the coordination of CCI Grand Est. Its main objective is to strengthen the competitiveness and attractiveness of the Greater Region (Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Lorraine, Luxembourg, Wallonia) and neighbouring regions (Alsace, Baden-Württemberg, Champagne-Ardenne, etc.). This is in particular done by supporting SMEs in the automotive sector on regional, national and international markets, as well as by helping them launch innovation activities.
