The Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) is a composite index that summarises some 30 relevant indicators on Europe’s digital performance and tracks the evolution of EU Member States, across five main dimensions: Connectivity, Human Capital, Use of Internet, Integration of Digital Technology, Digital Public Services.
Luxembourg leads the field and scores #1 when it comes to the indicator “individuals with basic or above basic digital skills”.
On 29 June 2023, Luxembourg will host the final pitching session of the Humanitarian Innovation Accelerator call for projects launched by the World Food Programme to promote innovative solutions responding to global humanitarian needs. Innovative entrepreneurs from 14 countries will present their solutions and pitch for support, mentorship and funding.

Anyone passing through the Luxembourg town of Echternach on Whit Tuesday might have seen a curious sight: thousands of people, mainly dressed in black and white, hopping through the town’s medieval streets to a polka melody.
