fDi Global Cities of the FutureLuxembourg has been top-ranked among mid-sized and small cities of the future in the fDi’s Global Cities of the Future 2018/19 report which focuses on the potential for foreign direct investment. The city is in the 3rd place in the overall ranking of mid-sized and small cities. The ranking is based on five different criteria and Luxembourg is among the top 10 for all of them:

  • 1st place for economic potential
  • 6th place for connectivity
  • 7th place for business friendliness
  • 7th place for human capital and lifestyle
  • 9th place for cost effectiveness
