Initiated by 11 entrepreneurs from the north of the country, the non-profit organisation United Business Luxembourg (UBL) has just been created. Under the slogan “Get together for better business”, it positions itself as the first point of contact for companies looking for potential cooperation and commercial exchanges in the north of Luxembourg.

“The business life in Luxembourg but also beyond the borders must be enriched. Our objectives are clearly defined and focus on the promotion, establishment and development of business relations,” indicates the website of the association, which also intends prioritises cross-border exchanges with other networks, institutions and companies.

In its activities, UBL will, among other things, create a regional and cross-border job portal, which will give greater visibility to employers and employees. The association will also organise thematic events where topics directly related to the daily life of companies will be discussed.

At the launch event on 3 February, Johnny Brebels, Director Company Relations and Support at Luxinnovation, participated in a panel discussion with Roland Neissen (President UBL), Nathalie Müller (Representative Guichet PME), Prof. Dr Marc Ant (Managing Director of the Competence Centres), Pol Goetzinger (Representative Centre de Compétences – Digitaalt Handwierk), Henri Rinnen (Mayor of Weiswampach) and Arsène Laplume (Manager Massen S.A.).

“In line with its mission to support initiatives led by SMEs, Luxinnovation is delighted to identify new synergies and collaboration opportunities with this new entity,” explained Mr Brebels.
