For the 16th time, the Cleantech Forum Europe will bring together the European innovation community with clean technologies as the common denominator. The forum will provide excellent opportunities to network, learn and get deals done with leading stakeholders from all over Europe: entrepreneurs, corporate representatives, financial investors and innovation leaders. The 2020 edition will be hosted in Luxembourg by the Ministry of the Economy, Luxinnovation and Luxembourg for Finance.

Looking into the future

According to the event organiser, Cleantech Group, the aim of the Cleantech Forum is to “give you a glimpse of the future, get you out of your everyday silos, provide a different perspective, and help you find innovations of relevance to you that are in adjacent or altogether different industrial and technology areas”. The programme covers topics in the fields of energy and power, resources and environment, transportation and logistics, materials and chemicals, and agriculture and food.

The Cleantech Forum offers a dynamic programme with experts and practitioners from multiple sectors and countries.

“The Cleantech Forum offers a dynamic programme with experts and practitioners from multiple sectors and countries,” says Christian Tock, Director Sustainable Technologies at the Ministry of the Economy. “It is a great opportunity for the Luxembourg cleantech community to highlight its expertise and interact with specialists and opinion leaders.”

Showcasing Luxembourg cleantech expertise

Cleantech Group chose to locate the event in Luxembourg for a variety of reasons, including the country’s commitment to develop the circular economy, its pioneering approach to smart mobility solutions, its smart cities powered by a world-class ICT infrastructure and its world-leading space community with novel applications for agriculture, water management and smart mobility. As the Eurozone’s leading financial centre and home to the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund, Luxembourg is also renowned as a green finance hub.

We want to show the visions, realisations and new business opportunities offered through Luxembourg’s forward-looking policies and projects.

In addition to the formal conference programme, the local hosts will organise field visits to give participants an insight into Luxembourg’s latest cleantech developments. “Luxinnovation has recently identified over 30 on-going circular building projects in Luxembourg, ranging from residential buildings and schools to the reconversion of brownfield sites into eco-districts,” says Georges Schaaf, Head of International Business Development – CleanTech at Luxinnovation. “We want to show the visions, realisations and new business opportunities offered through Luxembourg’s forward-looking policies and projects.”
