With the support of FEDIL, the Chamber of Skilled Crafts and the Chamber of Commerce, Luxinnovation and the Ministry of the Economy hosted three webinars detailing the mechanisms of the law of 24 July 2020 aimed at stimulating business investment in the Covid-19 era.

The purpose of this law is to encourage companies, which find themselves in financial difficulties due to the current situation, to still make investments that were planned but cancelled or postponed due to the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Three investment grants

The scheme includes three separate investment grants for:

  • development projects;
  • process and organisational innovation projects;
  • projects improving energy efficiency or aiming at exceeding current environmental standards.

During the three webinars (in French, Luxembourgish and English), introduced by Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot, the ministry’s specialists explained in detail how this law works. They also answered a large number of questions asked by the companies attending the sessions.

In total, some 650 people attended these presentations.
