Luxinnovation spoke with CEO Yannick Bontinckx.

How did you first hear about Luxinnovation and our Fit 4 Start programme?

We were doing research into the Luxembourg real estate market and came across the programme by sheer accident. We did not hesitate for a second and immediately started to work on our application file.

What was your biggest achievement?

We were the youngest company during our Fit4Start batch and we are proud to have interviewed over 400 homebuyers, 50 large real estate development firms across Europe, signed 11 beta users, developed a technical MVP and signed our first customers, all within the span of the Fit4Start programme. If you focus, talk and listen to your customers and work hard it shows what you can achieve in a short timeframe.

Name 3 things you especially like about the Fit 4 Start programme.

  • Your business model will be challenged daily.
  • There is a good hands on approach and coaching.
  • You are forced to stay focussed and to move fast.

What did you learn so for by participating in the Fit 4 Start programme?

We learned that our choice to move to Luxembourg was the right one for our company and that an international mind-set from day one really helped pushing us forward. Once you start talking to people and building on your original ideas, a huge amount of opportunities and different possibilities will suddenly appear. Fit4Start certainly taught us to say no and to keep focus, which really helped us avoid possible mistakes.

What are the upcoming challenges for your start-up?

Our software is going through beta testing right now and we are starting to sign customers. Our main challenge is to find a scalable and cost-efficient way to find real estate developers in need for our solution and convince them we offer the right solution for their needs. Next to that, we are looking for talented developers that can help accelerate our growth.

Tips and tricks of an entrepreneur:

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?

“(KISS) Keep it simple stupid. Listen to your customers and do not overcomplicate stuff. Focus on the essentials.”

Metri allows companies to save money and increase conversions by showing the right ads at the right time.
Companies can use triggers like weather data, stock market data, or website activity to automatically pause/un-pause ads or increase/decrease bids.
For example, a food delivery company could show more ads on a rainy day or show more “buy bitcoins” ads when the price of Bitcoin is low.
