Newsletter October 2021

Dear reader,

Horizon Europe is entering its second stage after the publication of the first 2021/2022 work programmes back in June. The first 2021 deadlines have passed, and the 2022 calls will soon open for submission. Have you already identified calls that match your interests? Please get in touch so we can support you!

Last month, the European Commission officially launched the five EU missions, a new concept put in place to address major societal challenges. We have summarised the key information for you.

If you are interested in funding opportunities available in the European Defence Fund, Alexander Link, Senior Advisor Corporate R&D and Innovation Support, has you covered. Check our web page to learn more.

Finally, we are delighted to announce the latest changes in our team:

  • Benjamin Questier is now Director R&D and Innovation Support
  • Stefano Pozzi Mucelli manages the team as Head of European R&D and Innovation Support
  • François Sprumont has joined the team as Advisor - European R&D and Innovation Support. François covers the Cluster 2 and Cluster 5 themes during Sanna Alaranta’s maternity leave.
  • Francisco Melo is joining us as well as Advisor – European R&D and Innovation Support. Francisco will cover the industry part of Cluster 4 and will gradually take over the matters related to the EIC.

We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Keep safe,
EU RDI team
