The Circular by Design Challenge is aimed at inciting businesses and entrepreneurs to develop products and services that will contribute to a more circular and sustainable world.

Propose your sustainable solutions to thematic challenges

Circular by Design Challenge cooperates with partners looking for innovative, sustainable solutions to respond to challenges in their specific field. For edition #3, companies and entrepreneurs are invited to submit applications according to four thematic calls:

Phase 1

  • Call for projects: 9 NOV 2022
  • Submission deadline: 20 JAN 2023
  • Preselection of top-20 projects: 25 JAN 2023
  • Project pitches: 2 FEB 2023
  • Announcement of selected participants: 3 FEB 2023

Phase 2

  • Coaching programme: 13 FEB – 5 MAY 2023
    • 6 group workshops
    • 1-on-1 coaching sessions
    • 3 Steering committee meetings
  • Final project submission deadline: 4/5 MAY 2023
  • Award Ceremony: 16 MAY 2023

Phase 3

  • Pitch to the industry: JUNE 2023

Call for coaches

Do you have expertise in the fields of circular business models, marketing, supply chain management?

We are looking for experienced, specialised consultants who can help companies improve the circular projects that they have submitted to the Circular by Design Challenge.

Key benefits

Eligible coaches for the Circular by Design Challenge have to be pre-approved by Luxinnovation. Their brief will include:

  • Contribution to the development of innovative and sustainable projects
  • Participation in high profile programme managed by Luxinnovation
  • Exposure as an expert in your field

Your skills

  • Circular business models: sustainable value chains, product and material flows, product life cycle analysis, pricing strategies, …
  • Sustainable engineering: Design Thinking, product development, enabling technologies, prototyping, waste management, sustainable supply chains, …
  • Marketing: communication, customer experience, go to market strategies, …
  • Prior experience in business coaching is a must
  • Language skills: English
