The EIC Pathfinder supports the exploration of radically new concepts and ideas underpinning technological breakthroughs. Pathfinder projects are typically interdisciplinary, cutting-edge science collaborations comprising visionary scientists and entrepreneurial researchers from universities, research organisations, start-ups, high-tech SMEs or industrial stakeholders.

The EIC Accelerator supports start-ups and SMEs seeking to scale up high impact ‘deep tech’ innovations with the potential to create new markets or disrupt existing ones.

Accelerator projects typically require significant funding over a long timeframe and are too risky for private investors alone.

• High-ranked European officials will provide you with an overview of the funding programmes, highlighting aspects such as the spirit and focus of the instruments, eligibility and requirements, type and intensity of support, application process, among others.

• Luxembourg funding authorities, such as relevant Luxembourg Ministries and the National Research Fund, will tell you about relevant priorities and initiatives aimed at boosting the research and innovation ecosystem and unleashing the start-up potential in Luxembourg.

• EIC awardees will share details about their journey and stories, highlighting critical success factors for obtaining funding.

• EIC jury members and evaluators will give their perspective on the evaluation process, providing valuable insights on “must-dos and don’ts”.

• Members of the venture capital ecosystem will reveal their approach to funding early-stage and ‘deep tech’ companies, pointing out common features of their beneficiaries.
