ERTRAC organises “Transport research & innovation to help shape the urban mobility of tomorrow“, taking place on Friday 18 October in Paris. The workshop will bring the research, industry and start-up communities together with practitioners from cities in need of new transport solutions.

How can innovation help to solve cities’ and regions’ mobility challenges?

Laurent Probst, CEO of Ile-de-France Mobilités and EMT Madrid’s Sergio Fernández Balaguer will set the scene by explaining how they engage in innovation to improve mobility services.

Interactive city-industry session

An interactive session with cities and new mobility service operators will explore the solutions that are likely to shape the city of tomorrow, with interventions from Lime, Uber, Airbus and Valéo and more.

Identifying building blocks and gaps in transport R&I

Break-out sessions will aim to identify building blocks and gaps in transport research and innovation: how to move from research to deployment? How to scale up innovative solutions? What technical, policy, socio-economic research & innovation is required to help shape the urban mobility ecosystem of tomorrow?

Karen Vancluysen, Secretary General of Polis, will introduce and moderate the event.
