Organised by the Institut de la Propriété Intellectuelle Luxembourg (IPIL) and the Intellectual Property Office of the Ministry of the Economy, a conference dedicated to European intellectual property jurisprudence will take place in Luxembourg on 28 September 2023 at the Chamber of Commerce.

This event, which will be held in both French and English, will be chaired by Ian Stewart Forrester, former judge at the European Union Court (from 2015 to 2020), and Marc Jaeger, judge at the European Union Court, having served as its president from 2007 to 2019.

The conference, graced by the presence of the Minister of the Economy Franz Fayot, will delve into several key themes. These include the resale of second-hand software, the rights of lending and leasing in copyright law, the intangible and tangible intricacies within trademark law, the consideration of material mediums in copyright law, the intersection of virtual reality and intellectual property, and the queries arising from generative artificial intelligence.

Registrations are now open on the IPIL website. However, seats are limited.

Participation in this event is free but requires pre-registration before 25 September, 2023.
