The prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship programme welcomes exceptional researchers from any nationality and encourages them to undertake research and innovation projects in the academic and non-academic sector. It is also open to researchers who wish to reintegrate in Europe, those displaced by conflict, and individuals with high potential who seek to restart their careers in research.
The programme includes two types of fellowships:
- European Postdoctoral Fellowships, targeting researchers moving within Europe or coming to Europe from another part of the world. These fellowships take place in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country and can last between 1 and 2 years. Researchers of any nationality can apply.
- Global Postdoctoral Fellowships, which fund the mobility of researchers outside Europe. The fellowship lasts between 2 to 3 years, of which the first 1 to 2 years will be spent in a non-associated Third Country, followed by a mandatory return phase of 1 year to an organisation based in an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country. Only nationals or long-term residents of the EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries can apply.
Supporting the international mobility of outstanding researchers
Fellowships will be awarded to outstanding researchers who plan to engage in international mobility, either within or between EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. The programme is also open to researchers from non-associated Third Countries. Applications must be submitted jointly by the researcher and a host organisation from the academic or non-academic sector.
